Set period field to current period with workflow

Hello,

Trying to set up a workflow that will move unpacked (custom field) assembly builds from the previous accounting period to the current accounting period at the beginning of every month. I've got everything set up, but cannot find a formula for 'current period' to set the period field. Does this exist? Any other option?
