Intercompany Elimination

I made several advanced intercompany entries and/or regular journal entries to combine several intercompany accounts (our books are a mess!). All seemed to go well except now I notice there are balances in the old accounts in the "Elimination Subsidiary". Any feedback how to fix this or what I may have done wrong?
