List Portlet Stuck

I added a list portlet to my dashboard. Set it up to show Transaction type list. I do not have full permissions to display the transaction list I chose, and got the message "Your formula contains a reference to a filed for which you do not have a permission". That is fine, I can probably fix the permission problem. But the portlet is now stuck with that message. I cannot select a different transaction list to view.
