Hi Everyone, I have a newbie question that I hope someone can answer or at least point me in the right direction. I've spent more time on this than should be necessary but I'm not able to get this to work, and given what I've read I'm not sure that I will but I'd like confirmation before I give up and move on.
We have Subscription and Subscription Line custom record types defined, for sake of argument call them customrecord_sub and customrecord_subline. Subscription Line is a sublist of Subscription.
We have a Subscription saved search that returns upcoming renewals based on Subscription Line end date. The result fields are defined as:
We have a workflow created with a Send Email action that pulls the results from the saved search and applies it to an email template. Using Freemarker in the template I'm able to access fields on the Subscription record but I'm not able to iterate over the Sub Lines sublist. Part of the problem is that I'm not able to find what the internal id is for Sub Lines, but whatever I've tried to work with returns nothing. For reference, I'm only doing something as simple as
<#list customrecord.customrecord_subline as lineitem>
${lineitem.qty}<br />
</#list>
where customrecord is the item from the recordset that's exposed to the template from the workflow. This is assuming that the workflow does the work of iterating over the result set and applying it to the template per record.
I've also read somewhere that summary fields on saved searches are not visible to templates, but I don't know definitively. Regardless, I've tried to pull the internal ids of those (I found them in the saved search email template setup) but I'm not getting any data from them.
So, after all that, if anyone can offer any help in how to iterate a sublist in an email template, or if it's even possible, I'd greatly appreciate it.
