Custom field on Amortization Schedule and Journal Entry

We have a custom field on our vendor bill lines. We would like this field to flow to the amortization lines when the amortization schedule is created and also to the journal entry for the amortization record. I don't see how I can customize the amortization form or achieve this using a workflow or saved mass update. Does anyone have any ideas?
