custom items to order

Hi Everyone

When I got to

Transactions - Inventory - Order items

I am presented with a list of items that the system has auto-generated based on reorder levels and backorders.

I want to create my own version of this list which I can customise.

How do I do this, is it

Customisation - Lists - Record type?

Customisation - Lists - List?

How do I start creating a list of this type in which I can populate similar fields to the ones on the Order Items list.

Sorry if this is a basic question but I could not figure it out.
