When we try to create new records(a custom record) using Quick add portlet or Quick Add Popup Window in ListView, the client script that works on the UI will not work here. Is this standard? Is there any workaround for this?

Also in the Quick add popup in the list view,

the Custom fields with a custom list doesnt show as the dropdown and we are not able to set the value (given that in the set preference for the MAXIMUM ENTRIES IN DROPDOWNS  is set as zero. )

In this quick add if the custom field ( that is list/record type) with a custom record or any standard list then with the MAXIMUM ENTRIES IN DROPDOWNS  is set as zero then this drop-down button is working, which seems different from having a custom list as the list/record.
