AE:Back Dated Asset Disposals
Hi,
I am doing asset cleanup. Operations staff has not kept accounting informed of fixed asset disposals. Now I am being told about numerous assets (108 from one location alone) that were disposed of in prior periods. What is the easiest way to do this?
The best way I can think of is to dispose of the assets with a date in the current month and then go into the disposal entry and adjust it to remove the depreciation and adjust the accumulated depreciation and loss on disposals. With the quantity of assets I need to do this, does anyone have any ideas on a more efficient way?
