Supply Allocation feature

I have a question regarding the Supply Allocation feature :

  1.  I created an Inventory Item, with a quantity of 5.
  2.  A sales order is placed for this item for 6 units.
  3.  Afterwards, a Purchase Order is created for a quantity of 3.
  4. It shows that the Purchase Order is allocated for the Sales Order and Allocated Demand=1.

I created a transaction saved search for the PO with the results:

  • Item
  • Item Number : Number (which is the serial number).
  • Allocated Demand


The results showed the 3 serial number numbers of the PO and all of them had Allocated Demand = 1.

I expected to see one row with Allocated Demand = 1 and the rest Allocated Demand = 0.
