AE: Prepaid Deposit not applied to invoice

A deposit from a Sales Order was created on 02/16/2022 .

The Sales Order was Fulfillment and Invoiced on 02/22/2022 .

The deposit was not applied and the invoice is still open. 

Any idea what is the reason for this?
