AE: How to use Sourcing & Filtering function of custom fields

I'm trying automatic filling a line field with Source&Filterling configuration.

When SOURCE FROM is a simple text, the function works as we expect.

But when SOURCE FROM is List/Record type, it doesn't work at all.


Is it impossible to fill a line field of List/Record with this function?

I would like to understand the specification.
