Need help with a report or Saved Search to show overall cost of BOMs

Thanks in advance for taking the time to help me or read this.
We are in the process of implementing Netsuite and have most of our components, sub assemblies and finished good assemblies loaded into Netsuite. We are using the Average Costing Method. I've come to find out that using anything other than a Standard Costing Method means that I can't run a Costed Bill of Material Report. So I'm stuck trying to accomplish this with a Saved Search or some other method.
I'll be honest, I know very little about ERP systems. We hired a consultant to assist us, he build the system part way with us and then bailed on us. I'm struggling to teach myself and make heads or tails of the system and finish it so we can utilize it. I think I've done pretty good but I'm stumped on how to get overall Bill of Material Costs from a saved search. I was able to go in a start an assembly build and it gave me a projected value, however the projected value only takes into account components
