NetSuite2.com - transactionLine Value Signs Reversed

When I query data from transactionLine out of the NetSuite2.com datasource via ODBC, I find the quantity and netAmount fields have their signs reversed. Invoice lines that show negative quantities and amounts in the UI, come over positive in the query result and vice versa. Why is this?
