Details to Integrate the ODBC user for TM1 System

Hi All,

We are starting a new project for the implementation TM1 system.

TM1 is a budget planning system from IBM.

We have an ODBC user and we need to integrate the data from Netsuite into the TM1 system.

IBM sent details that they need to integrate between the systems:

I have all the details except 2 that I don't know how to find them.

Attached below is the explanation from IBM of what i have and what is missing:

IBM offers a direct cloud-to-cloud-ODBC connection from the client's Planning Analytics on Cloud environment to their NetSuite database server.

The client must provide certain info about the NetSuite database server they wish to connect to.

The following information is required:

DSN (Data Source Name) - Missing

Description - Missing

NetSuite Service host - I found it

Service port - I found it

Service data source - I found it

Account ID - I found it

Role ID - I found it

Hi Matan,

I find this a little puzzling because the explanation says "direct cloud-to-cloud ODBC" whereas 'DSN' and 'Description' sound like settings you would have locally (either user or system DSN). So for example, the screenshot below shows an ODBC connection I have on my laptop where you see the DSN (Name: below) and description (of course the account ID and role ID would have your details in). This allows me to extract data from NetSuite to Excel.

In other word for cloud-to-cloud connectivity I would have thought the settings you have found would be sufficient.

Hi @Matan Shachaf , I agree with Steve, you can find the missing attributes in your local machine. You may search for "ODBC Data Sources" in your machine, then you can see the DSN part. I believe the DSN they looking for is the one you configure in your ODBC driver setup.
