How to consider inbound Shipments for Supply Planning

Good day everyone. We have a need that feels like a gap in NetSuite's Supply Planning. I was hoping you all could tell me I'm missing something.

As you know (or, as far as I know), when preforming Supply Planning the Gross Requirements screen, and subsequently the Order Item Screen, consider the items on Purchase Orders ONLY. Specifically, the Expected Receipt Date informs Supply Planning for the arrival of the items. What we would like, is that Supply Planning considers the Expected Arrival Date of Inbound Shipments as well. Is this possible?

The use case is this: We may order 10 pieces to be delivered to us on the 6/1. Due to manufacturing issues, our supplier may only be able to get us 5 pieces on 6/1, with the remaining 5 Pieces planned to arrive 7/1. Currently, we split the PO line to 5 on 6/1 and 5 on 7/1 so Supply Planning is correct at the next analysis. This creates a large amount of PO maintenance.

Howdy, Stranger!
