Different reports with different snapshot settings?

I have a snapshot on a dashboard that I'm trying to change the report for. The new report is just a copy of the original report that I added a filter to. These are the settings for the original report:

These are the settings for the new report:

I'm trying to make the new snapshot a pie chart but it will only show as a table without the settings. Is there any reason the settings are different for the two reports?
