Item Approval Workflow. Approve Button does not appear for Approver

I have created an Item approval workflow. This workflow is for new created or updated items. I have run across the below issues:

  • Approve button does not appear for the approver. The approver is sent a email request to review the new created item. The approver does not see the approve button.
  • Submit for Approval button does not disappear after the user clicks it. Once the submit for approval is clicked, the notification states the changes have been successfully saved do not appear and the button does not appear.
