Saved Search - Change width of field

We have a long text field on a saved search that is making the rows extra long and so we have to scroll more. Is there a way to either make the font smaller or change the width to clean up this report. The issue I am having is that the field needs to stay editable. When I try the HTML option, it causes the field to not be editable and this is the main purpose of creating this report in NetSuite. It is a note field that is used to get the most up to date data.
