Task start and end times in SuiteQL query

I am using runSuiteQL() from the N/Query module to retrieve some task records. I have found that the starttime and endtime fields are not available. They aren't shown in the record browser and when I run a query against them I get the error below. Is there a way to retrieve the start time and end time fields on a task record?

Search error occurred: Field 'starttime' for record 'Task' was not found. Reason: UNSUITABLE - Unsupported data type 'TIMEOFDAY'
