FAM Asset record - multi-language

I am implementing FAM in the US but also in several non-English speaking countries (ie. Germany, France, Spain). If I want to carry the Asset Name both in local language and in English, can I leverage Translation Collections or some other feature of the Multi-language functionality? I am not sure what I am missing. Do I have to create a custom field on the FAM Asset record to carry the English translation? Feels like there must be a way...
