Changing email domain on employee records

Hi

We are migrating to a different email domain and would have to update employee email addresses in NetSuite.

Is this allowed / possible to change the email address on the employee record?

Does changing it affect access to NetSuite? We also use SSO, or would we need to recreate the employee record with the new email domain?

Please advise.
