Increase the maximum characters allowed on the File>Publishing>Caption field

We need to increase the size of the File>Publishing>Caption field.

I know it is a delivered field & I have identified it as a "string" field type

Aside from a replacement/redundant custom field, does anyone know how/if I can change the maximum characters on this field? 🤷🤞 I think I know the answer 🤣😕 since it is a "delivered" field but I thought I would ask anyway.
