system is allowing the data/amounts to be entered in parent segment (Custom) value

i am not sure if this is bug in NetSuite. needs to resolve this.

system is allowing the data/amounts to be entered in parent segment value

Example

Custom segment= SubAccount

Values

Salaries & wages parent

Basic Salary Salaries & wages

Staff Food Salaries & wages


the system should only allow the debit/credit to be entered on the following child Values

Basic Salary

Staff Food

the system should not allow the debit/credit to be entered on the following parent values
