Why is the Saved Search for Vendor duplicates not sending an email alert?

Hi,

I have a client who wishes to be alerted when there are new vendor dupes detected, which right now I can only see on this page:

Is there a record type that could be included in a saved search that would allow me to create an alert of some kind from that search? I'm open to other suggestions that would push an alert rather than require the user to pull up this page. Thanks!
