How to Truncate a Text Box - Custom Transaction Body Field?

NS Gurus,

I am working on truncating custom fields on Opportunity Record with a UserEvent Script and HTML Magic. Below you can see the HTML Code snippet, but I am encounter an issue where if I try to apply this to two fields, only one of the two expands while the other one remains contracted.
