How to block creation of records via Quick Add Portlet?

Hi all,


I have prevented users from creating Prospects and Customers so only Leads can be entered into the system and then converted.


I have a return user error workflow on create of prospects and customers. However, users are getting around this with the Quick Add portlet.

How can I stop this from happening. or how can I just block the Quick Add portlet as it causes lots of problems for records with workflows and scripts.
