How to resolve an issue about Commission Delays?

A customer has experienced delays with commissions appearing for authorization. We looked through some of the transactions and didn't notice any changes so not sure why there was such a delay but transactions didn't appear until 4 months later.

Has anyone else experienced the same with the commissions module and can suggest anything to resolve?
