How to prevent the AICJE transaction from posting to a period where the subsidiary period is locked?

It appears that if an Advanced Intercompany Journal is created where the primary subsidiary's period is unlocked and a line level subsidiary's period is locked, NetSuite will still allow the transaction to be created and post to the line level subsidiary in the locked period.

Does that behavior sound correct and are there any options to prevent the transaction from posting to a period where the period is locked for any of the subsidiaries included in the journal?
