How to Execute Workflow Only if Posting Period Is Open

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:32PM in Ask A Guru 6 comments

Hi All,

I've created a Journal approval workflow that will allow the user who created the journal to unapprove for potential edits.

Is there a way to create a condition that checks if the posting period is open or closed?

I want to only include the 'Unapprove' button if the period of the journal is open. I'm aware that they won't be able to actually change the posting to a closed period, but it will impact the states of the workflow and I want to reduce the chance of error if the period is re-opened for whatever reason.

Thanks!
