How to add Custom Sublist in Advanced PDF

I have found out that custom sublists on custom records are not available to be used in advanced PDF's, even though they show!

Anyway, from what I can see, it appears that I need to create a text field, loop through the sublist items I want to appear on the PDF and post that as an array in that field. So I have this so far on my custom record.

I want now to loop through the array in my PDF/Freemarker code. I thought that eval would do this for me as it works in another form the same way.
