What are the available Manufacturing Rework Method in NetSuite?

Greetings!

We use Advanced Manufacturing with lot numbers. From time-to-time, we have product that was manufactured incorrectly and needs some effort applied to fix it (the product may or may not be a customer return). After the rework, the product is sold (or replaced to the customer) as the original Item number.

We would like to be able to record the labor associated with the rework process and have clear records in NetSuite of what has transpired.

I cannot believe that we are the first to experience this need, so surely somebody has identified ways to accomplish this within NetSuite. I will be grateful for any assistance.
