Can Workflow remove lines from an invoice

We are creating cash sales for our online activity from Shopify, and as a condition, need to have "Invoice in Advance of Fulfillment" enabled so that we recognize the payment for all the web orders regardless of fulfillment status. For our smaller quantity of B2C customers which are being manually invoiced, this is causing the invoices to include items not yet fulfilled. Is a workflow a solution to have items that are not fulfilled removed from the invoice as the record is saved?
