How to have an Email Alert when a Project Task Status Change?

I am trying to create a search for a specific named task, "Ship Equipment". That when that task status is marked Completed it notifies the Project Manager.

I have the search criteria as follows:

Name: contains Ship Equipment

Project: Project Manager is XXXXX

Status: Completed


Email values:

Send Email Alerts When Records are Updated/Created: T

Recipient: XXXXX (Project Manager)


I have a custom message created and am assuming, when a user marks the task completed, it is populated in this search, prompting the email. I have tested several and can't get any email to be created. Any ideas?
