Item Field on Sales Order not returning suggestion Matrix Item

We are seeing something strange. I was wondering if anyone else is having an issue with Matrix items? When you start typing the item ID in the sales order, it used to show suggested items that matched. It still works in the global search. When I look at it, there appears to be 3 parent item prefix when there is only two on the item parent.
