How does consolidated exchange rate function on NetSuite (Xignite)?

Hi All

Please advise what is the explanation of this system behaviour about Xignite FX rate function?

We received feedback from our client as follows:

We pick up IDR as example and try to understand the multiple conversion (IDR -> SGD -> USD) vs direct conversion (IDR -> USD). We observe some of the month (the rate are last date of each month) give us significant variance. 

 

Can you help us to understand how does the Xignite FX rate function in Netsuite? Is this reasonable to have such significant variance?
