Can we create all the cutomization with Script?

Hello,

I would like to know if I can create Custom Search/ Record/ Fields and so on using only scripts?

SuiteScript 2.0 API offers module to manipulate data (instance) with N/record, N/search N/ui/serverWidget ...

UI Customization menu offers to create metadata (custom fields, custom records...)

Is UI Customization the only way?
