Manage Intercompany Sales Orders - Can I remove the mandatory fields?

I find it ridiculous, that even though I can see the PO that I want to generate an SO for, I still have to fiddle around and fill out all of the mandatory fields before I can click the button to generate the SO.

Is there a way to turn off these fields or stop them from being mandatory?

Or is there some other way to generate the SO?
