Consignment functionality

We are exploring a consignment inventory model and wonder if NetSuite has native functionality or set-up where the Item Fulfillment could be programmed to make the entry from finished goods to consignment, not COGS entry, and not trigger an invoice when marked ‘shipped’. Then we would later trigger either the IF to be marked ‘sold’ to make the COGS entry and trigger then the invoice…or something similar when each unit or units are inserted/sold.
