How to allocate cost of fixed asset to the cost of finished assembly?

Hi,

We have a unique situation here, not sure if anyone out there is facing the same. Our customer wants to buy an equipment that is used in creating the finished assembly product. This equipment will be placed with an outsourced vendor. The customer wants to allocate the cost of the equipment to the finished assembly. Is there a way to do this?
