Commission Schedule for Closed (Fully Paid) Sales within a month

Hello, I have been trying to create a commission schedule for one of my customer. The requirement is, they want to pay out commission based on the closed sales within a period. When we categorize the commission schedule by period, the commission calculation leaves out any invoice/cash sale that has been opened prior to the period (for which commission is calculated) but closed in that period. So NetSuite is considering only those transactions which are basically opened and closed within that period, Due to this the calculation does not come out correctly. Any idea how we can workaround this problem?
