Use of dif Standard KPI data sets for KPI Meters

From what I can see the KPI Meter for Actuals uses SALES as the KPI but we actually compare our Forecast to the data captured in the Sales(orders) field. How can we make sure that the Actuals value for a KPI meter reflects Sales(orders) data instead of Sales data?

Also looking to get clarification on Forecast(Alt Sales) data - what is included in this?
