What is the formula to calculate commission based on Business type?

Hello there, hoping someone can help here, i'm trying to create a Saved search that will calculate commission rates based on projected total in Sales Order or Opportunity, but based on our custom field 'Business Type, ie

New Business: 10%

Existing Business: 6%

I've tried searching on Suite Answers and attempted my own formula based on CASE WHEN, but aware this is pretty woeful, would appreciate if anyone could suggest a formula that would calculate the two percentages above based on the Business Type field, thanks for your help.
