Are there articles/documentations for Operating Lease?

Is there articles / information behind how NetSuite generates the Depreciation Schedule for an Operating Lease? I am seeing that the monthly depreciation in NetSuite for an Operating Lease is calculated by taking the Total Lease Payment of the lease (Lease NPV + Total Interest) and dividing that by the term of the lease. I understand this but is there any information out there that confirms this is compliant with GAAP standards?
