How to Dynamicaly populate a sublist select field in Suitelet with client script?

Hi

I have a suitelet with a sublist on it. The suitelet also has a custom button on it which when clicked I want to populate the select field on all the sublist lines with values. I can populate other fields on the sublist by using the setCurrentSublistValue function but cannot find a way to populate the select box. I have looked at insertSelectOption function but this only seems to work on fields that are not in a sublist. Any help would be most appreciated.
