Can a workflow be used to stop a single field being editited

Hello - I currently have a workflow that stops certain users editing sales orders when a custom checkbox (called Deferred Revenue) is checked AND there is a linked transaction (Invoice, Fulfillment, etc).

I have been made aware that the users still need to edit the order to add in shipping details. The issue is we can't have users unchecking the box and management only want them to add shipping details and nothing else.

I am wondering if I can use a workflow to either block the checkbox from being changed OR allow for only the shipping fields to be edified (there are multiple on the Sales Order).
