We purchase a kit from a supplier at "X" price. The parts in the kit need to be classified as inventory items as they can be sold individually. The individual items within the kit need to be listed in BOMs individually. The parts in the kit need to be inventoried individually as well. The issue is we pay a lower price for the "kit" versus if we buy the parts individually. When we buy the parts individually they cost more. I don't know how to enter this kit into Netsuite. My first thought was to enter it as a "kit/package" however you can't purchase a "kit/package" item type. If I list the parts within the kit individually as inventory items on a purchase order the pricing will not be right. I've attached a picture of the parts that we buy that come in the kit. We get all of these parts for "X" price but again, if I were to buy them individually they would cost more. In addition, we have to list these parts out individually on a BOM. I'm not sure how to account for these parts individually and have it costed properly in Netsuite.
