Transaction report including related communication and activities

I need to run a sales order report that includes a column listing any related activities (phone calls, tasks, events, etc) and email communications. I tried to add a field to the standard Sales Orders by Sales Rep Detail report, but I didn't see any available fields for related activities or communications.

Is there a way to create a report or saved search that displays the same info as the Sales Orders by Sales Rep Detail report, but also has a column that displays defined fields from activity or communication records that are directly related to each Sales Order?
