What Base Currency to use for China Subsidiary?

We are in the process of setting up a new Subsidiary in China and need help on the best practice for choosing the base currency of the Subsidiary.

Does the base currency of the China Subsidiary need to be in CNY?

What are the implications if we choose to set the Base Currency to USD instead of CNY? Are there any pros and cons in choosing USD vs CNY or vice versa?

Will the China Localization Bundle work if the Base Currency is not CNY?

What do you often recommend to your other customers who are setting up business in China?
