Are there any negative ramifications of enabling Automatic Location Assignment?

Hi,

I help administer Netsuite ((Edition: Australia) Release 2023.1) for a growing manufacturer / wholesaler / retailer.

We are in the early stages of opening up another warehouse in another state and are considering to enable "Automatic Location Assignment" to help with the fulfilment of orders.

Our initial concerns revolve around the unknown.

1) Once enabled will our existing setup proceed as normal or do we need to tinker with the configuration? We don't have a sandbox account and are wondering if it best to enable out of business hours to avoid possible configuration issues.

2) Once enabled is it possible to disable - or is it a case of once it's enabled and configured there is no going back?
