Sandbox email testing

Hello,

What is the safest way to test email alerts/workflows in sandbox to ensure only the user testing gets any emails, and no inadvertent emails get sent to other users or customers?

Would the option in the company setup of "Send Email to Logged In User" being the safest bet in sandbox?

Would be curious how most people like to test?
